With detailed planning as a new, web-based component of the add*ONE Simultaneous Planning product, software provider Inform is completing its production planning process. The add-on software for ERP systems generates punctual and cost-optimized production plans for companies in series production.
Detailed planning will be presented for the first time at LogiMAT. It is able to take existing capacities and material availability into account at the same time when calculating batch sizes. Based on this approach, it generates an optimal production program plan at weekly level. Detailed planning uses the weekly production schedule to create a detailed process plan with an optimized sequence of operations for each resource. This planning takes set-up times and costs as well as work shifts and break times into account. If changes occur at short notice, the planner can still change or postpone operations at any time. Inform has created a sophisticated user experience in the add-on software. The intuitive planning board enables overloads and underloads to be recorded quickly and shows possible planning alternatives and their effects using visual cues. mm
