Yamaha has introduced the new YK400 XE scara robot with an arm length of 400 millimeters. The YK400XE is a successor to the YK400XR. The manufacturer points to high accuracy and performance at a reduced price.

At four kilograms, the maximum payload has been increased 1.4-fold compared to the previous model. The standard cycle time has been reduced by around ten percent and is now 0.41 seconds. The increase in performance was achieved by strengthening the drive and the robustness of the arm as well as improving the performance of the RCX340 controller. As the installation dimensions are fully compatible with the previous model, Yamaha promises that a conversion to the new model is possible without any problems. as
