Jörg Schmauder appointed to the management board
Jörg Schmauder joined the management of Schwäbische Werkzeugmaschinen on July 1, 2020. He is gradually taking over Reiner Fries' responsibilities as Managing Director Sales and Marketing.
Jörg Schmauder is to become the new Managing Director of Sales and Marketing at Schwäbische Werkzeugmaschinen. He will take over from Reiner Fries, who will be leaving the SW Group at the end of the year. After 20 years with the company, Mr. Fries will now devote himself to private matters.
Schmauder draws on many years of management experience and industry expertise in the machine tool industry and will become a management member of the globally positioned SW Group with locations in Europe, China and North America.
In future, the management team will consist of three members: Markus Schmolz (Managing Director), Stefan Weber (Managing Director Production & Technology) and Jörg Schmauder. The aim is to continue the strategy of internationalization.
