New Managing Director Technology at Kunzmann Maschinenbau
Dr.-Ing. Florian Kirchmann has been the new Managing Director Technology at Kunzmann since the beginning of 2020. The mechanical engineering graduate joined the family-owned company as Technical Director at the beginning of 2019 and is now taking over the position from Gerd Siebler.
With his appointment, Kunzmann completes the generational change at the top of the company, which was initiated with the takeover by the Eisler family group of companies in 2015.
The 41-year-old graduated from the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences with a master's degree in mechanical engineering and subsequently completed his doctorate at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg. His professional experience includes management positions at the Institute for Manufacturing Technology and Production at Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences and at a supplier to the automotive and toolmaking industries. Most recently, he was Head of Development at a globally active group that manufactures special machines for metal processing and the automotive industry.
