Management team at Mapal subsidiary Weisskopf expanded

Roger Steiner has been Managing Director of Mapal subsidiary Weisskopf alongside Uwe Rein since November 2019. As Technical Managing Director, the 44-year-old is responsible for production and technology. Uwe Rein, who has been managing the business in Meiningen since 2015, remains responsible for sales and commercial functions.

The company is responding to its growth with an expanded management team. Founded in 1993, Weisskopf has been part of the Mapal Group since 2012. With the integration and the resulting international orientation, the order situation at the Meiningen plant has steadily increased. Production capacities were significantly expanded in 2015.

The subsidiary manufactures special and miniature tools made of solid carbide (solid carbide) as well as PCD and solid carbide-tipped special tools and employs 130 people, including 15 trainees.
