For torques up to 85 Nm

The DirectDrive tool turrets in the 0.5.437.3/4xx series from Sauter Feinmechanik have a synchronous motor that enables torques of up to 85 Nm and speeds of up to 12,000 rpm .

The turrets, which are compatible with both BMT and VDI interfaces, were developed for use in turn-mill centers. According to the company, the key element of the turret's locking system is the patented end detection: a swivel motor brings the tool disk into position. A three-part Hirth coupling then locks the tool disk with µm precision so that the piston and the sliding clutch are optimally positioned.
