For internal turning of miniature components

Iscar offers boring bars specifically for the internal turning of miniature components.

The boring bars are suitable for the new positive, single-sided ground indexable inserts of the EPGT series with 75° geometry for bore diameters of at least 4.5 mm and for the CCGT variant for diameters from 5 mm. © Iscar

They are suitable for the new positive, single-sided ground indexable inserts of the EPGT series with 75° geometry for bore diameters of at least 4.5 mm and for the CCGT variant for diameters from 5 mm. Both geometries are equipped with the F1P chip former, which was developed for fine finishing operations in steel. According to the company, this ensures good chip control at various cutting depths and reduces cutting forces at the same time.

The newly developed tools from Iscar are available with solid carbide and steel shanks. For ideal thermal conditions, the internal coolant supply leads directly to the cutting edges.
