The worm gear and collet design has a vibration-damping effect and the interface has been adapted to driven tools for lathes.

The chuck guarantees reliable operation up to a torque of 100 Nm and a maximum speed of 14,000 rpm . The concentricity is less than 5 µm over 30 mm. A specially developed sealing system ensures that no cooling lubricant can penetrate the tool, even at high speeds.

The APC precision chuck is compatible with the SolidPro quick-change system and the TorqueDrive and SpeedDrive tool turrets.
