New machine concepts

Annina Schopen,

Faster cycles with two spindles

Schwäbische Werkzeugmaschinen (SW) is presenting two trade fair innovations: the BA W03-22 CNC machining center with two spindles and the BA profile - a machine concept that can mill profiles made of various materials for the truck and automotive industries, among others, up to a length of 2,500 mm.

SW will also be exhibiting the BA space3, currently its largest machine for processing battery housings, and offering insights into manufacturing trends such as friction stir welding and giga-casting. SW wants to meet the challenges of e-mobility with efficient solutions. One example of this is the BA W03-22 machining center for the production of high-quality workpieces for the automotive industry. Compared to a single-spindle machine, the cycle times are significantly shorter.
