Increased knowledge allows the development of new business areas

At Metav 2018, the consulting and software company ams wants to show how tool and mold manufacturers can use the fourth industrial revolution to open up additional business areas. The further development of the industry solution ams.erp Tool will be at the center of the trade fair presentation. According to the manufacturer, the purely order-related business software synchronizes the technical and commercial information of all project participants in real time.

For example, the fully integrated product data management ensures that data exchange between the tool manufacturer's ERP and its customers' CAD systems can be automated. Thanks to end-to-end process coverage, the tool creates a common database for marketing, sales, design, scheduling, purchasing, production, shipping, assembly and service management. Tool and mold makers use the centrally stored knowledge to develop attractive additional services for their customers: On the basis of their core competence, customer-specific toolmaking, they can, for example, set up purely order-related parts production and thus create an important distinguishing feature in international competition. sw
