Power chuck
Constant clamping force over 500,000 cycles
The Duro-A power chuck from Röhm is celebrating its world premiere at EMO Hannover and will complement the Duro power chuck family.
According to the company, the latest member of the Duro power chuck family is characterized by a constant clamping force over 500,000 cycles as well as a maximum clamping force that is up to 30 percent higher than comparable power chucks while at the same time reducing the weight by 10 percent. This means that even workpieces with a higher weight can be securely clamped and machined. The lower weight also reduces the load on the machine spindle.
According to Röhm, other features include a concentricity of 0.01 mm with ground top jaws, a 30 percent increase in throughput and up to 35 percent higher maximum speed.
