The machine mills and turns with an accuracy of 0.2 µm and the positioning accuracy of the drives is 0.1 nm, which also makes it interesting for the production of optical components. In Japan, it is already being used to manufacture workpieces up to a length of 280 mm in information technology, medical technology and in the production of lenses for smartphone cameras. In addition to milling and turning, the CE-marked machine can also be used for marking workpieces.
