3D profilometer
3D measurements in seconds
Keyence is presenting its 3D profilometer with extended functions at Metav 2018, which has an automatic inspection function that enables simple and user-independent inspection of 3D shapes in seconds. Profile sections and surfaces can also be compared with CAD data.
This allows differences to be visualized quickly and precisely. The surface shapes are captured completely in 3D and do not fluctuate depending on the user. In the case of identical samples, the deviations, i.e. the identical points, are checked and visualized.
In addition, identical measurements, such as profile, cross-section, volume, area, flatness and roughness, can be carried out on several identical test specimens in a bundle using batch analysis. This saves users the time-consuming individual testing of their samples for the same measurement task. The recorded 3D data can then be imported into the CAD program. The advanced functions of the 3D profilometer can also be used in a large area of up to 200 mm x 100 mm. In this way, even large components can be evaluated for OK/n.i.O. with the aid of tolerance limits.
Thanks to the 3D profilometer, Keyence enables a wide range of measurement and analysis functions that allow fast, simple and contactless measurements. The combination of three telecentric lenses and the CMOS camera enables the user to generate precise measurement data. The 3D profilometer is therefore particularly interesting for quality assurance, development, production and their analyses. cs
