Handling objects with height differences
Piab is expanding its range of rectangular bellows suction cups with two new suction cups and a completely new square suction cup.
The three new suction cups and the rest of the range of rectangular bellows are included in a virtual configurator to speed up and simplify the ordering process.
The rectangular bellows suction cups RBL20x45 and RBL30x55 are recommended for handling long, narrow objects and surfaces where maximum holding force is required. They are suitable for products in plastic packaging such as chocolate bars or when level compensation is required. The new long version (RBL) with an additional bellows is particularly suitable for objects/picks with large height differences.
The active stroke range is greater with rectangular suction cups than with round or oval suction cups. The RBL suction cups are designed for handling objects with large height differences. The new sizes RBL20x45 (mm) and RBL30x55 (mm) are available with the same standard mountings as the rectangular bellows suction cups (internal thread 1/4 inch and external thread 1/8 inch swivel).
The new square size RBL60x60 (mm) is available with nine different fixings, including an aluminum T-slot fixing and two swivel fixings (external thread 3/8 inch and 1/4 inch). The swivel mounts allow for easy positioning and locking function.
The suction cups are made of Duraflex, a material that has been specially developed to leave no marks on the objects handled and yet retain a fantastic elastic memory. Duraflex is made from a material that has the elasticity of rubber and the wear resistance of polyurethane. as
