Hygienic lifting device with belt drive
Nimo-KG has developed a lifting device with a belt drive. The company, which is based in the Swedish province of Skåne, designed the lifting device at the request of several companies, including a German manufacturer of processing machines for the food industry.
Nimo-KG supplies various types of lifting devices that are used in the meat processing industry. The lifting devices can be used in various process steps in the food industry where a container needs to be lifted and emptied. When a German manufacturer of processing machines expressed interest in a lifting device with a belt drive, Nimo-KG developed the new SK 800 MKB lifting device.
"So far we have sold the new lifting device to companies in the salad and meat processing industry, but it is suitable for all types of production in the food industry, which benefit from the hygienic aspects of the lifting device," explains Martin Olsson, Managing Director at Nimo-KG.
The lifting device is driven by belts instead of chains. This offers several advantages, but also requires a more complicated design. Belts have the advantage that they are more hygienic and easier to maintain, they are easy to clean, insensitive to strong chemicals and do not need to be lubricated or tensioned.
"The belt-driven lifting device is suitable for companies with demanding production processes and high hygiene requirements. The German customer was already using a belt-driven lifting device, but was struggling with major technical problems," says Olsson. Nimo-KG supplies customized solutions for internal product handling to customers all over the world. Since its foundation, the company has continuously developed its range of machines and equipment and adapted them to the specific requirements of its customers. as
