Gripper

Gripper for cobots

On Robot is launching a flexible gripper onto the market: the RG6 is specially designed for collaborative robots that are used in applications where they have to handle workpieces of different sizes.

The RG6 is a larger and stronger version of On Robot's RG2; it has a greater payload than comparable two-finger collaborative grippers. With a higher adjustable force (25 to 120 Newtons), it can grip six to eight kilograms. It also has a longer stroke of 160 millimetres. Like all on-robot grippers, the RG6 is compatible with all robot models from the manufacturer Universal Robots (UR); it can be integrated and programmed quickly and easily. The gripper is suitable for manufacturers who want to automate the transport of sensitive or heavy objects, for example in the areas of pick and place, numerically controlled CNC machines, machine loading, packaging and palletizing as well as assembly.

The electrically operated RG6 requires no external cabling and has an end joint with infinite rotation. It is also available as a dual gripper. The gripping actions are permanently monitored: Intentionally removed or lost objects are automatically detected. pb
