Gripper

Change not required

It is not uncommon for a palletizing robot to actually require two gripper systems in order to pick up both packages and, for example, intermediate layers. Roteg relies on multifunctional grippers that can handle various handling tasks.

There is therefore no need to replace the gripper system. Multifunctional grippers consist of combined gripping systems - in this particular product, Roteg has combined vacuum suction systems with a different type of gripper in each case. Suction grippers, for example, are suitable for handling intermediate layers; under vacuum, paper or cardboard layers are sucked in and deposited in a targeted manner. Depending on the package, a second type of gripper is required. One of the latest multifunctional grippers from Roteg has a fifth axis with which it can bring the packages to be palletized into a vertical position. Thanks to several nested suction groups, it can adapt to different package sizes and palletize them. pb
