Schmalz modular system
Customize your vacuum gripper
At Fachpack, Schmalz will be presenting its new FXCB area gripper for collaborative robots and a modular system that allows users to assemble and modify individual grippers, as well as innovations for manual lifting tasks.
With the FXCB area gripper, Schmalz has developed an efficient solution for numerous applications in intralogistics, such as end-of-line packaging or pick & place applications. With flexible foam as a gripping surface, it can securely hold cardboard packaging or boxes weighing up to eight kilograms. It can also be easily integrated into automation environments thanks to its communication technology.
Assemble the gripper yourself
At Fachpack, Schmalz will also be presenting a modular system for modular vacuum end effectors (VEE). Various components are available to the user, who can assemble and modify them into a customized gripper with the help of easy-to-use software. Schmalz provides support in determining the best possible configuration and, on request, the components can then be delivered as an assembled unit.
Schmalz presents the SPZ-M layer gripping system for fast palletizing and depalletizing of entire product layers. It is particularly suitable for cartons, cans, jars, entire pallets and layer pads.
Visitors to the stand will also learn all about the FXP and FMP vacuum area gripping systems. The operator can automatically palletize, depalletize, pick and sort packaging made of different materials such as cardboard, wood or plastic and with different geometries, surfaces and dimensions using just one gripper. The FXP is available with a foam sealing plate to handle inherently stable products, as well as with suction pads. This allows thin-walled bags, for example, to be transported.
In addition to ready-to-connect grippers, Schmalz will also be presenting components that are necessary for setting up a complete system, such as ejectors and switches. The focus will be on intelligent i-products such as the VSi vacuum and pressure switch. It collects all important process data, interprets it and communicates it up to the control level. To do this, they use IO-Link as an open interface for communication in all common fieldbus systems.
It doesn't always have to be automated
Schmalz is presenting an innovation for manual lifting tasks: the Jumboflex High-Stack has an extra-long operating handle and enables goods to be stacked and unstacked ergonomically up to a height of 2.55 meters. Just like the other tube lifters in the Jumboflex series, the High-Stack can also be operated with just one hand. The operator places the second hand on the guide handle for support.
Schmalz will also be exhibiting the vacuum tube lifter Jumboergo. This can move loads of up to 300 kilograms quickly and ergonomically. A variety of grippers are available for both lifting devices, which are adapted to the respective workpiece. Thanks to a quick-change adapter, these can be changed on the lifting device without tools. The smooth-running aluminum jib cranes are the ideal complement to the Jumbo manual vacuum lifters. as
