Co-act gripper
Focus on collaboration
Gripping technology. For Schunk, Hanover will be the showcase for mechatronic gripping.
Intelligent, compact and easy to operate - this is how Schunk sees the gripping of tomorrow. "Even though pneumatic components will continue to play an important role, the trend is clearly moving towards mechatronics," emphasizes Henrik A. Schunk, Managing Partner and CEO of Schunk in Lauffen am Neckar, with a view to the Hannover Messe. "The digital transformation of industrial production requires the networked interaction of all components involved, especially in handling and assembly. At the world's leading trade fair for industry, we will show how broad the spectrum of mechatronic gripping is already, how easy the smart modules are to operate and what possibilities they offer for process monitoring closest to the part, i.e. directly on the workpiece."
The company will focus on grippers for collaborative applications: "For human-robot collaboration to be a success, you need end-of-arm tools that demonstrably comply with the DGUV specifications and at the same time meet with a high level of acceptance among humans." The innovative company offers precisely this symbiosis with its certified co-act grippers.
However, Schunk is not only showing clever mechatronic components for visionaries, but also for tough practitioners from high-performance assembly in Hanover in the truest sense of the word: With its plug-and-work-capable 24-volt modular system, the gripping system specialist is defining a new standard in assembly automation. pb
