Production concepts in the "Road of Tooling Innovation"

Moulding Expo 2021 offers a new highlight: the Road of Tooling Innovation. Without barriers and stand boundaries, toolmakers together with manufacturers of injection moulding machines, peripheral equipment and materials will demonstrate state-of-the-art production concepts in action in the middle of the exhibition hall.

"Along the Road of Tooling Innovation, we show what is possible," says VDWF President Prof. Thomas Seul, in his role as the conceptual and technical sponsor of the trade fair. The exclusive offer has been well received in the industry: Well-known companies such as Braunform, Georg Kaufmann Formenbau, Haidlmair, Werkzeugbau Siegfried Hofmann and Zahoransky Automation & Moulds have already announced that they will be submitting a concept. Applications via the Call for Concepts are still possible until November 15, 2020.

"The Road of Tooling Innovation forms the sunset strip of Moulding Expo and provides visitors with a completely new trade fair experience - because something is happening here, because there really is something to see. For this exclusive theme park, we want to attract international toolmaking champions and their technology partners who, with their innovative strength and quality standards, are representative of the strength of the industry," says Florian Niethammer, Project Manager Moulding Expo at Messe Stuttgart.

The Road of Tooling Innovation shows visitors the production efficiency of tools as they are used in manufacturing. Messe Stuttgart is looking for international toolmaking champions to present themselves here in a prominent position with their partners. A maximum of ten projects will be presented.

Thomas Seul's enthusiasm for the Road of Tooling Innovation is clear to see. "We engineers get excited when we can see and touch something," explains the President of the VDWF. "So when I can show a tool in operation, it's no longer just a dead piece of metal. That's why we want to present toolmaking as a live experience, accompanied by the expertise of the exhibitors. With the Road of Tooling Innovation, we can convincingly present the overall solutions that we will need in toolmaking in the future."

The documents for the Call for Concepts are available on request by e-mail from Messe Stuttgart.
