System monitoring in real time
With Pipe ID 4.0, Schuler has developed a real-time process control system for the production of large-diameter pipes.
The solution makes it possible to track and trace the pipes, monitor overall equipment efficiency (OEE), condition monitoring, intelligent diagnostics and energy monitoring. According to Schuler, machine monitoring has already been implemented in production lines. The company cites the manufacture of railroad wheels as an example. Here, the system records production data such as downtimes (planned and unplanned), including their cause and error messages. In addition, the permanent logging of parameters enables a cycle-accurate reaction in real time. ag
