Power clamping nuts
Power clamping nuts for the back
Enemac has developed the ESB and ESD mechanical power clamping nuts so that production workers do not have to strain themselves every time they have to tighten a nut. This is a planetary gear hidden in an outer housing, which is driven simply and without great effort by means of an external hexagon. The internal thread is retracted slightly, which tightens the counterpart. The principle is simple, the effect is great, because according to the manufacturer, this concept means that a force of 6-20 t can easily be exerted manually by any worker. Screw the nut onto the existing bolt, turn the hexagon socket with a standard torque wrench to the specified torque and the clamping nut quickly and securely clamps the workpiece or tool.
The ESB series was designed for workpieces with the same component thickness, as the screw-in depth is limited due to the closed housing. For components with different dimensions, the ESD series with through-hole thread should be used, as it has an unlimited stroke. Both types can be used wherever high clamping forces need to be generated with little effort, such as when clamping conveyor belts, tools in presses and punches, workpieces during welding or similar. sw
