Website answers important questions about Corona

The Industrial Association for Sheet Metal Forming (IBU), in cooperation with the German Steel and Metal Processing Association (WSM), is launching an information service for companies on all aspects of the coronavirus. Questions about short-time working allowance, financial aid, labor law, occupational health and safety and more will be answered.

The Industrial Association for Sheet Metal Forming ( IBU) is launching a special Corona website in collaboration with the German Steel and Metal Processing Association (WSM). The associations are now using this website to answer questions about short-time working benefits, financial aid, taxes, labor law, occupational health and safety, auditing in the event of a pandemic and much more. There are also sample templates, for example, for customer communication, tax deferral or for the flood of paperwork with the Federal Employment Agency.

Due to the corona pandemic, new questions about business and working life arise every day. The new special website serves as a central point of contact for companies: On it, the two associations collect facts, provide answers and help companies to cope with the situation. "As associations, we are a hinge between business and politics - close to the needs of companies and familiar with the statutory and legal requirements," says IBU Managing Director Bernhard Jacobs.

It is important for the IBU to provide practical assistance that meets the needs of the sheet metal forming industry. For this reason, the association has also activated a large number of external consultants who are available to association members free of charge for an initial consultation.

From employment law to delivery problems and tax deferral

The website is divided into sections on current corona-related topics: Labor and contract law, sample templates, finance, occupational health and safety, quality and status report. The labor law section addresses what is currently on the minds of those affected: regulations on short-time work compensation, compensation payments in the event of quarantine, cancellations of delivery call-offs, etc. There are sample templates for customer dialog in the event of delivery problems or for tax deferrals, among other things. In the Finance section, companies will find a guide to securing liquidity and suspending the obligation to enter into insolvency agreements
