The link to a sustainable future

Under the motto "Making The Difference", Harting presented solutions for a sustainable future. During the press conference, the company provided information about connectivity and cabling solutions for renewable and decentralized energy supply. It also discussed ecosystems for digitalization and connectors for an efficient and sustainable life cycle.

The technology group expects this financial year to confirm the record result of the previous financial year (1,059 million). Although inflation has left its peak behind, there is no easing in sight for the time being. Climate change, (de)globalization, the new banking crisis and supply bottlenecks are just some of the other challenges. "However, they also offer us great opportunities, as they are driving forward topics such as digitalization, renewable energies and decarbonization," says Philip Harting, CEO of the Technology Group, at the trade fair stand.

Harting showcased applications from the areas of "Connecting the Digital Twin", "Connecting New Energy" and "Excellence in Connectivity". The SmEC - Smart Electrical Connector, for example, is a connector with an active administration shell (AAS). It records all process and status data over the entire life cycle. As a digital twin for components, machines, systems and entire factories, the AAS can be used as required thanks to partial models.

The company also presented connectivity solutions for the energy transformation. The Han ORV3 Power Connector was presented for the first time in this context. It is used for efficient energy transmission in data centers. The aim is to make them more efficient, more flexible and more quickly scalable. The Han-Modular Push-In is the latest addition to the core portfolio. This offers a combination of different connection technologies.
