Only the "Switzerland/Southern Europe" market region was able to increase by 7.6% compared to 2018 - thanks to strong growth of 20.5% in the strategic business division "Solutions". The remaining six market regions recorded a sharp drop in demand in some cases: "Germany" with -17.4%, "Americas" with -23.5% and "Asia-Pacific" with -8.3%.

The integration of AKI Electronic, Jihlava, Czech Republic, was successfully completed in 2019 with many improvements and rationalization programmes. The name change to Schurter Electronics (SECZ) on January 1, 2020 further consolidated the integration. The number of employees in the Schurter Group decreased by 5.9% due to the difficult economic environment and amounted to exactly 2007 employees as at December 31, 2019. The production sites recorded the highest staff reductions.
