The new system structure consists of the module for guard locking, the plug-in submodules with operating and display functions and a bus module for connection to Profinet/Profisafe.

Thanks to its modular design, the MGB2 Modular can be flexibly adapted to the respective requirements of the safety gate. With the help of two submodules, a total of up to six different operating elements can be integrated into the locking module.

The system is hot-pluggable, so it can be replaced during operation. If space is limited, the compact bus module MBM with Profinet/Profisafe can be easily mounted separately at a suitable location. Up to six locking modules can be connected to an MBM bus module with such remote mounting.

With the MCM extension module, the range of functions of the Multifunctional Gate Box MGB2 Modular can be significantly extended. If the maximum possible six operating elements in the locking module are not sufficient or labeling is required, four additional submodules are available. These are simply plugged into the extension module. The MCM is either connected directly to a bus module or as a function extension to a locking module.
