Ralf Hellwig new Managing Director DACH
RS Components consolidates management at DACH level
RS Components has appointed Ralf Hellwig as Managing Director DACH.
RS Components, a trading brand of Electrocomponents plc, a global omni-channel solutions partner for industrial customers and suppliers, has made a key personnel decision to underline the importance of the German-speaking market for the company and consolidate its leadership in this important growth region. The distributor recently appointed Ralf Hellwig, an accomplished leader, as Managing Director DACH. Hellwig can draw on the experience of a successful career in distribution.
Due to its large market potential, the Germany, Austria, Switzerland region plays a key role in RS Components' growth strategy. In order to underline its role as an important player in this region, the distributor has already made considerable investments in the DACH region. This includes the construction of a new headquarters in Frankfurt and the massive investment in the expansion of the distribution center in Bad Hersfeld.
In Ralf Hellwig, the company can count on an experienced leader to guide it on this course. Hellwig, who previously worked at SIG GmbH, brings with him extensive experience from the European B2B distribution landscape. At SIG, he held the position of Managing Director and led the transformation of a traditional construction and building materials retailer into a modern, agile company. Prior to that, Hellwig worked at Rubix for 14 years, most recently as Managing Director for the DACH region and member of the Executive Board. During this time, the integration of Zitec and Brammer under the Rubix brand was one of his management tasks.
Ralf Hellwig is aware that dynamism is at the forefront for every company in the current situation: "I believe that we all have to adapt to special circumstances. The decisive factor is the willingness to accept these changes. No one can predict what the final state will look like. It is therefore essential for companies not to switch from one static state to the next. Rather, the right attitude could be a constant state of learning. I look forward to taking this journey with RS in the DACH region at such an exciting time."
