From standard cables to special stranded cables, Metrofunk Kabel-Union has been supplying its customers with cables and data lines for over 70 years. The company attaches great importance to fast delivery times and a transparent pricing policy. Anyone who would like an overview of the Berlin-based company's constantly growing range of products can find detailed information on over 230 pages in the current product manual.
New to the range is a selection of high-quality copper stranded wires for operating voltages of up to 1000 V. The stranded wires insulated with PTFE-5Y are particularly suitable for areas where the most stringent requirements are placed on thermal, electrical, chemical and mechanical properties. PTFE (Teflon) offers safe and long-term insulation because it is non-flammable, ozone-resistant and resistant to acids and alkalis. Due to these advantages, copper stranded wires can be used in devices for measurement and control technology, the aviation industry, for computer wiring, for marine diesel engines, locomotives, alarm systems and measurement and testing systems in space technology.
The selection of temperature-resistant control cables also offers numerous application possibilities. The shielded control cables insulated with a Teflon FEP sheath can be flexibly installed for operating voltages of up to 600 V. Like PTFE, FEP is resistant to microcultures and does not allow fungal growth. It is not attacked by solvents, does not absorb water and saves space thanks to its thin wall thickness.

The product categories include twisted-pair highly flexible cables, power cables, low-frequency cables, coaxial HF cables, ribbon cables and switching wires. All wires and strands are available in different versions and are available in sample quantities of less than 100 m or different size units.
