These are compact, high-performance cooling solutions that ensure targeted heat dissipation, in some cases directly at the hotspot, and thus guarantee the functionality and longevity of the embedded systems.

Embedded systems are computer systems that are embedded in technical systems in order to control, regulate or monitor them. The increasing networking and digitalization of machines and systems are constantly demanding smaller end devices while at the same time increasing computing power and power loss. "Our special CNC-manufactured heat sinks are specially designed for installation in embedded systems. They are usually mounted directly on the hotspot. This prevents excessive heat from being generated in the first place," says Wilfried Schmitz, Managing Director of CTX. "Like the embedded systems themselves, our products must also become ever more compact and efficient in order to cope with confined installation situations."

The company's portfolio includes active and passive cooling solutions for embedded systems, ranging from heatspreader solutions with integrated heatpipes, heat sinks with copper inlays, heat sinks for PCBs and SMD components to cooling electronic housings and front panels as well as fan technology. Suitable cooling technology is selected on the basis of customer data, thermal simulation and detailed consultation.

For over 25 years, CTX has been developing and marketing individual cooling solutions for effective thermal management of embedded systems, which can be found in numerous applications in the fields of consumer electronics, medical technology, household appliances, telecommunications, vehicle construction, railroad technology and automation technology.
