Connectors for the industry

Andreas Mühlbauer,

Automation, robotics and industrial networks

At SPS 2025, Rosenberger will be showcasing a broad portfolio of connectors and system solutions for reliable data and power transmission in automated production environments. The focus will be on contactless transmission technologies, Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) and optical interfaces. The RoProxCon series enables wear-free power and data transmission in moving or rotating applications such as robotics, sensors and actuators. In addition to compact system-on-modules, hybrid and data-only versions are also available. An evaluation board facilitates integration and development. The SPE connectors, which are standardized according to IEC 63171-7 ED2, transmit data rates of up to 1 Gbit/s over 1,000 m and create end-to-end Ethernet communication from the sensor to the cloud. EBM connectors with expanded beam technology support up to 12 fibers and are designed for demanding environments. With HySpeedVision (HYV), Rosenberger also presents a combined data and power connection for machine vision systems, while M8/M12, H-MTD and HSD connectors offer standardized, robust solutions for high-speed and industrial applications.
