Training and certification program
More productivity with AI and digitalization
SmartFactory Kaiserslautern has founded the SmartFactory Academy as a training and certification program. The program is aimed at specialists and managers of medium-sized production companies and industrial enterprises who want to meet the challenges of digital transformation.
The SmartFactory Academy combines scientific excellence with industrial practice: speakers come from the SmartFactory-KL network as well as from the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) and the Rhineland-Palatinate University of Technology Kaiserslautern-Landau (RPTU). Current technology and production solutions are vividly conveyed in the courses - from automation strategies and digital twins to skill-based system architectures. The focus is on practical relevance. The SmartFactory Academy offers training courses at the model factory in Kaiserslautern or on-site at the companies. This allows the new theoretical knowledge to be applied directly. The offer is supplemented by online programs.
Participation options range from open one-day and multi-day courses to individually tailored workshops that can be adapted precisely to a company's requirements, projects and employees. "Our experts can look back on over 2,000 consultation hours and 500 workshops with companies," explains Prof. Dr.-Ing. "We want to pass on this experience and knowledge, because the demand is great." Changes in production requirements and the labor market demand new qualifications.
Benefits for companies
The SmartFactory Academy helps companies to train their workforce in a targeted manner and thus plan and implement the digital transformation. "With the SmartFactory Academy, we are providing SMEs with a modern training tool for the production world of tomorrow," continues Ruskowski. "Our strength lies in combining theory and applied research with industrial application - this creates real added value." Since 2016, the experts at SmartFactory-KL have been supporting the transfer of knowledge to industry, currently at the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Kaiserslautern. "We also give specialist presentations all over the world," emphasizes Ruskowski. "We can even broadcast training sessions and demonstrations live, which makes a conference or presentation a lot richer!" The experts recently presented a digital twin implemented in a 60-year-old milling machine and this innovation was very well received. The SmartFactory Academy will be conducting guided tours at this year's SPS in Nuremberg. It will also be represented with a stand where AI demonstrations will take place every hour. |at
