Wolf-Henning Scheider succeeds Dr. Konstantin Sauer as CEO and will take over as the new Chairman of the Board of Management of the ZF Group on February 1.

Wolf-Henning Scheider succeeds Dr. Konstantin Sauer as CEO and moves to the top of the ZF Group.

The 55-year-old business administration graduate has many years of management experience in the technology groups Bosch and Mahle. "As CEO of Mahle, Wolf-Henning Scheider has demonstrated a great deal of expertise in a groundbreaking transformation process," says ZF Supervisory Board Chairman Dr. Franz-Josef Paefgen.

"As a manager with both professional and human skills, industry expert Scheider stands for continuity on the one hand - he will consistently continue the existing ZF 2025 strategy," explains Paefgen. "On the other hand, Scheider is a thought leader who stands for moderated change - he will steer ZF through the challenging transformation process that the entire automotive industry is currently undergoing with a sure instinct and in constant dialog with all stakeholders."

"My special thanks go to Dr. Konstantin Sauer, who seamlessly took over the role of CEO of ZF in addition to his function as CFO during the transition phase and thus gave the company stability," says Paefgen. "I would also like to thank Mahle GmbH, which made Wolf-Henning Scheider's quick and uncomplicated transition possible - the fact that the two companies' product portfolios do not overlap was a major factor in this."

The ZF shareholders, the Zeppelin Foundation and the Ulderup Foundation, welcome the election of Wolf-Henning Scheider: "As an excellent manager and personality, Wolf-Henning Scheider has the necessary experience, leadership skills and strategic thinking, is excellently networked and knows the tasks and challenges of the automotive and supplier industry inside out," say Andreas Brand, representing the Zeppelin Foundation, and Dr. Joachim Meinecke, representing the Ulderup Foundation. "We are very much looking forward to working together."
