Peter Altmaier, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy, met with the German delegation Oliver Winzenried, CEO and one of the founders of the parent company, and emphasized the cooperative spirit of both nations. The executives of the new company showed how they want to build a top-class network with Japanese industry leaders.

Medical industry and the vision of "Society 5.0", which is driven by a combination of digitalization, artificial intelligence, big data, smart factories and smart society, make Japan an excellent starting point for digitally supported business models. The business contacts already established by Japanese distributor Suncarla Corporation over the past decades point to even greater potential that now needs to be tapped. As part of its continuous growth plan, Wibu-Systems, as a manufacturer of secure licensing solutions, has opted for a cooperation model comprising an existing distributor and a new subsidiary.

Tomoki Maruyama becomes authorized representative director of Wibu-Systems K.K. The new director brings thirty years of experience in embedded software and systems business in various industries such as industrial automation and robotics, automotive, electronics and medical devices. He will be supported by Yasuaki Mori as Corporate Advisor of Wibu-Systems.

Oliver Winzenried says: "I am deeply grateful to Shigeji Kobayashi, CEO of Suncarla Corporation, for his excellent support over the past twenty years. Now it is time to jointly intensify the Japan business and additionally invest in a subsidiary to provide expertise and support to Japanese software manufacturers and especially smart device manufacturers. Our technology for protection, licensing and security makes it possible to exploit the opportunities of digital transformation and connected industries in many areas in Japan. I am convinced that with the commitment and experience of Tomoki Maruyama and Yasuaki Mori, win-win situations will be created with Japanese manufacturers and excellent results will be achieved."
