The mechanical engineering sector continues to be the engine of the Turkish economy. Over the past 15 years, the Turkish mechanical engineering industry has recorded above-average growth in terms of production, exports, investment, employment and research and development.
In his first statement after the election, Kutlu Karavelioğlu emphasized the importance of relations with Europe and Germany in particular for the further development of the mechanical engineering sector in Turkey when asked about future work in Germany. Relations with partners in Germany such as VEMASinnovativ (Innovationsverbund Maschinenbau Sachsen), OWL Maschinenbau e.V., Robotation Academy and BME with joint activities to expand relations have made a major contribution to the positive development of the sector in Turkey. Kutlu Karavelioğlu expressed his gratitude for the trusting cooperation to date and emphasized that he sees the continuation and intensification of relations as a focus of his future activities. This will also involve further expanding and intensifying the far-reaching and positive relationships with German companies. In this context, the President also emphasized the contribution of German companies to the positive development of the mechanical engineering sector in Turkey, which have supported the sector with investments, technology transfer and the purchase and sale of machinery.
In the future, the representatives of the Export Union will continue to be available at all times for the operational implementation of cooperation and collaboration ideas and will support interested German companies in the following areas:
