Together with the Indonesian President Joko Widodo, the Chancellor was shown innovative projects from the island state. The two politicians then visited the exhibition stands of Festo, Siemens, Siemens Gamesa, Omron, Pepperl+Fuchs, ebm-papst, ifm electronic, Phoenix Contact and Pilz, among others. The main themes were sustainability and the digitalization of industrial production. The Chancellor and President repeatedly emphasized their desire to expand economic cooperation between the two countries. However, an important topic for both politicians was also the recruitment and qualification of young talent for industrial production, as they emphasized in their closing statements.

The Chancellor and the Indonesian President had already opened the trade fair the previous evening. As part of the opening ceremony, Federal Research Minister Bettina Stark-Watzinger presented this year's Hermes Award to Bosch Rexroth. This is the third time the company has won the coveted industry prize after 2013 and 2021. The Hermes Startup Award was presented to the young company MantiSpectra from Eindhoven.
