Karl-Heinz Birkner, Chief Financial Officer at Still, will retire on February 1, 2018 after 34 years of service at the Kion Group. His successor in office will be Thorsten Hofmann, who was previously Head of Corporate Controlling at the Kion Group in Wiesbaden. Birkner has played a key role in shaping the success and profile of the brand and the Kion Group in numerous senior financial positions. Since February 2016, he has been a member of the Still Management Board, of which he was already a member between 2009 and 2011.

"Both our Operating Unit and the Group were very fortunate to benefit from Karl-Heinz Birkner's profound and valuable expertise for many years. He knew the DNA of the Kion Group like no other and played a key role in driving the Group forward," said the Still Supervisory Board members and the Executive Board of the Kion Group.

Thorsten Hofmann began his career at Linde in Controlling in 1991. In 1994, he moved to Linde Material Handling and held various management positions in finance and controlling in Germany and abroad. In 2013, he took over the management of Group-wide controlling at Kion. "With Thorsten Hofmann, we are delighted to once again be able to complete the Still Management Board with an outstanding financial expert. His in-depth knowledge of the Group, the industry, our markets and products will make a significant contribution to further expanding the success of our long-established Still brand. The Still Management Board is thus ideally positioned to continue to implement our strategic plan continuously and powerfully," says Dr. Henry Puhl, Chairman of the Still Management Board. kp
