Sensor networks and intelligent MMI solutions

Katja Preydel,

Steute Schaltgeräte becomes Steute Technologies

Since October 1, the former Steute Schaltgeräte GmbH & Co KG has been operating under the name Steute Technologies GmbH & Co KG. This documents the company's move from switchgear manufacturer to provider of sensor networks and intelligent MMI solutions for demanding applications in industry and medical technology.

In practice, this step has already been taken. "We are increasingly developing system solutions for our customers, for example wireless networks for e-kanban systems in intralogistics or network-enabled operating systems for medical devices in operating theaters. We will continue to drive this transformation process forward," says Steute Managing Director Marc Stanesby.

The company's established core business, the development and production of high-quality switchgear and sensors, will of course continue. However, the switching devices and sensors developed in the four business fields of Automation, Extreme, Meditec and Wireless are increasingly becoming components of technology platforms, for example for controlling production processes and operating machines and medical devices. These platforms are also developed and provided. The new company name clearly reflects the change in the business model.
