CEBIT 2018
Start(up) help and FuckUp Nights
The new CEBIT focuses on business, leads and new ideas - the ideal environment for young, up-and-coming companies that are looking for new business partners and want to present themselves to the international market. The meeting point is "scale11". The exhibition area for start-ups, investors and established companies will be presented from June 11 to 15 under the motto "Ready - steady - go" in Hall 27 within the d!tec platform.
Startup Association as the most important cooperation partner
Deutsche Messe's most important partner in the development and organization of "scale11" is the German Startups Association (Startup-Verband). The association will hold information and discussion events on the Expert Stage in Hall 27 on several days of CEBIT. The topic-specific panels with representatives from startups and politics as well as investors and influencers should be particularly exciting.
New: Startup TV
For the first time, there will be a daily TV program that will report on newcomers as well as topics and background information on the startup scene for about an hour in the early afternoon - live from Hall 27. The program will be broadcast via the communication channels of the Startup Association's media partners.
Founders Fight Club selects the best startups
Anyone brave enough to compete with other young companies on an open stage can take part in the "verbal battle" of the Founders Fight Club. Two founders compete for the recognition of the expert jury in an entrepreneurial battle of words. Other items on the Founders Fight Club program include themed and expert panels as well as startup pitches on the "scale11" dedicated "Startup Stage". All startups exhibiting at "scale11" at CEBIT 2018 can take part.
FuckUp Nights present stories of failure
Young companies are not only successful, they can also fail. The presentations at FuckUp Nights prove that failure is part of life and that you can learn a lot from it. In presentation slots of a maximum of 15 minutes on CEBIT Wednesday, June 13, start-ups will tell their respective stories of failure and provide valuable tips for the future.
The FuckUp Nights are an internationally renowned format from Mexico in which entrepreneurs talk openly about mistakes and failures. The idea behind it is that start-ups in particular can learn more from a story of failure than from a story of success.
Perhaps even Yannick Kwik can learn something from the presentations. The highly successful founder and global CEO of FuckUp Nights will be visiting CEBIT in June 2018 to see for himself the creativity, successes and failures of the startups presented there.
Investors Club = VIP area for potential investors
A special area within "scale11" is available to all companies and potential investors who would like to meet with their selected startups and hold confidential discussions in an exclusive, quiet atmosphere. Companies wishing to participate can purchase club tickets from February 2018 for 300 euros via the CEBIT website.
Startups are looking forward to CEBIT 2018
The concept of "scale11", the discussions with established companies, the opportunities to find investors and the exchange with like-minded people have been well received.
"We have been actively involved in scale11 at CeBIT from the very beginning. It's a great opportunity to meet B2B decision makers and showcase our business innovation services. We can't wait to be part of scale11 in June", says Philippe Thiltges, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of WhatAVenture from Vienna.
Greta Kreuzer, CEO of Cosinuss from Munich, emphasizes: "We are very much looking forward to scale11 and CEBIT, because you become part of a 'family' / network that is doing everything it can to promote startups."
"Many companies that want to get to grips with the topic of digitalization find inspiration at CEBIT. With its interactive event space, scale11 offers an excellent platform for exchanging ideas with companies that are interested in innovative solutions. We are looking forward to many exciting discussions in a pleasant and inspiring atmosphere," says Corinna Bode from Valsight in Berlin.
And Katharina Blum, Managing Director of leadtributor from Munich, adds: "We are delighted to be part of scale11 in 2018! Not only does it give us all the visibility we need as a start-up, but we are also looking forward to getting together with colleagues and like-minded people and exchanging opinions and ideas."
