Sieb & Meyer records 47 percent increase in sales
Sieb & Meyer AG recorded a 47% increase in turnover in 2017 compared to the previous year. This makes it one of the best financial years in the company's history. The Lüneburg-based company was able to expand and develop its target markets with numerous product range expansions and product optimizations.
"The good economic situation in our target industries allowed us to expand our position in existing markets," explains Torsten Blankenburg, Chief Technology Officer at Sieb & Meyer. "On the other hand, we were also able to open up completely new markets by continuously expanding our product portfolio and thus keep the company on a good growth trajectory." For example, the "CNC controls for PCB processing" division successfully presented the new CNC 95.00 control generation at the HKPCA 2017 trade fair in China.
But there have also been numerous innovations in the field of drive electronics - above all product optimizations in process monitoring and safety technology: For example, the load indicator function is now integrated as standard in all frequency inverters and servo drives in the SD2x series. The company also provides users of the SD2 drive system with the two encoderless functions "Safe Frequency Monitor" (SFM) and "Safe Limited Output Frequency" (SLOF) as standard.
In addition, the SD2B and SD2M series frequency inverters are now also available in a new version: The compact SD2B Plus impresses with additional functions and an IP20 housing, while the new SD2M model with DC voltage supply can also be used in combination with regenerative power supply units/mains inverters, thus opening up new application scenarios for three-level technology.
"In addition to expanding our product range, we continued to work on optimizing our processes in 2017 to serve our customers," explains Torsten Blankenburg. "And last but not least, we also improved our external image." Following a relaunch, the website is now much clearer and more user-friendly. In addition, a new, comprehensive catalog for the SD2x servo drives/frequency inverters is available to customers and interested parties. kp
