Under the motto "Shape the digital now", Deutsche Telekom and its corporate customer subsidiary T-Systems will be showcasing digital solution modules for industry at Hannover Messe 2018.

Products and services relating to the cloud, Internet of Things (IoT), connectivity and security will be presented. New trends such as digital twin, blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI) will also feature in the worlds of experience at the trade fair.

"Simple, secure and reliable - companies need products like these to enter the digital world. We want even more: every one of our visitors should leave Hannover Messe with a new idea for digitalization," emphasizes Adel Al-Saleh, Member of the Deutsche Telekom Board of Management and CEO of T-Systems. In the "Creative Space" and the "Creative Lab", everything revolves around digital strategy and business models. Specific implementations are developed in practical workshops. "We work with customers to get the best out of their business and take production and the company to a new level."

Deutsche Telekom's 800 m2 stand in Hall 6 (stand number F16) is divided into various experience areas. In the "Inspiration Space", which is open to all visitors to the stand, topics relating to the digital factory will be presented. For example, the cloud is used in production planning when information from machine sensors, operating data and historical data is exchanged and monitored. Virtual load tests can already be carried out on a digital twin, the digital image of a real product, during the planning phase.

After planning, the process continues to the next area of smart production. Here, the robot controls the workpiece and the human merely monitors it. This requires connectivity solutions such as the new NarrowBand IoT machine network and the next real-time communication standard 5G, which combines mobile and fixed networks. Entire industrial plants can be digitized on the basis of this secure network infrastructure. The data collected can be evaluated using artificial intelligence and production can be optimized. Telekom also offers rapidly deployable solutions in the logistics environment, such as the paperless consignment note or intelligent transport monitoring in real time.

Whether for planning, production or logistics - data protection and protection against cyber attacks are particularly important at all times. Visitors will therefore receive a broad overview of T-Systems' security solutions. This includes insights into blockchain technology as well as security offerings for large companies and small and medium-sized enterprises.

In order to be able to advise trade fair visitors individually on their digitization projects, there are two additional restricted-access areas at the Telekom stand. In the "Creative Space" and the "Creative Lab", visitors will receive further information on digital strategies and business models from Deutsche Telekom experts. Concrete implementations can then be developed in practical workshops.
