Schneider Electric presents progress in sustainability
Schneider Electric has published the latest figures on the progress of its sustainability measures. The report for 2022 states that digital solutions and services made it possible to save around 90 million tons ofCO2 last year.
This brings the total to around 440 million tons since 2018. As part of the Zero Carbon Project, we have also succeeded in reducing theCO2 emissions of key suppliers by 10%. This represents an important milestone on the way to the planned Scope 3 climate neutrality by 2050.
In addition, 45% of the company's own packaging is now disposable plastic-free. The company first published a detailed sustainability report in 2005, documenting current results and targets for the future.
Schneider Electric recently announced an 18% increase in sales for 2022 to around EUR 34 billion. Net profit rose by around 9% to 3.5 billion euros in the same period.
