In 2018, he prepared the integration of Larsen & Toubro Electrical & Automation into Schneider 's Indian organization, one of the company's largest acquisitions worldwide to date.

De Maistre succeeds Dr. Barbara Frei, who has held the position of Executive Vice President of Schneider Electric Europe Operations since the beginning of the year.

"With the consolidation of the DACH markets, my predecessor Dr. Frei has taken a significant step towards a comprehensive range of solutions and service levels. I would like to build on this seamlessly and use the proximity to our customers to reflect the market requirements in our global strategy," says de Maistre.

The engineer, who majored in automation, began his professional career at Siemens in the early 1990s and held various management positions there, most recently as CEO of the French branch of the company. He was involved in industrial automation and low-voltage distribution throughout his career. De Maistre spent a total of eleven years in China before returning to the European Siemens organization in 2012.
