Training center
Ruwac in the second construction phase
Ruwac is building a new training center on its company premises in Melle. Following the completion of the 1,600 square meter dispatch hall in January 2018, the second construction phase has now begun. The administrative offices are to be significantly enlarged from the fall. In total, the company is investing more than six million euros in the expansion of production and office space.
With the new dispatch hall, the company has completed the first phase of its spatial expansion, significantly increased its logistics space and thus created urgently needed space in production.
Since March, Ruwac has been in the second construction phase, the training center. "We can incorporate a penthouse apartment on the company premises here," says Axel Runge, Managing Partner. It will be gutted and converted into a spacious training area directly adjacent to the production buildings.
This gives us the opportunity to hold events on the subject of vacuuming and extraction on our own premises. This includes training courses for our own sales representatives and service technicians in Germany and for our international agencies, as well as for users and experts from various sectors in the industry.
Axel Runge: "We are active in many areas in which complex regulations must be observed and the use of vacuum cleaners and extraction systems requires special care. These include gas and dust explosion protection, the extraction of fiber composites and food production. With the training center, we are creating the spatial conditions to inform users about the general conditions in these areas of application and about the technology of our systems."
After completion, the training center will initially be used for a different purpose. This is because the third construction phase will start in the fall: the administration building will be extended by one floor and its floor space doubled. During the construction period, the administrative staff will move into container offices and the training center will also be used as an office.
Due to the company's continuous strong growth, further construction phases for the expansion of production are to follow. One of the growth factors results from additive manufacturing processes: Ruwac has developed wet separators that are used to extract excess powder from the workspace of 3D printers. Ruwac manufactures these devices for leading manufacturers of additive manufacturing systems.
Together, these trends mean that Ruwac achieved sales of over EUR 30 million for the first time in the last financial year, has increased its workforce by 15 to 150 employees in the last two years and is continuously expanding its production and administration space.
