R+W builds new headquarters
R+W has secured an area of around 6,500 square meters in the new "Weidenhecken" industrial estate in Wörth am Main, just a few hundred meters from its current location. The new company headquarters will be built here, with over 2,500 square meters of production space and 1,000 square meters of office space.
"The planned building offers us ideal conditions for growth thanks to its size and the way it is tailored to our needs. This will enable us to significantly increase our capacities in a short space of time - this has become necessary due to our strong growth in recent years," says Managing Director Steffen Herter.
The design planning for the new building has been completed and the building application has been submitted. Goldbeck GmbH has already been commissioned as general contractor for the implementation. Thanks to Goldbeck's extensive experience in the field of industrial halls and office buildings, it was possible to agree a very ambitious schedule in line with R+W 's requirements: Based on an expected start of construction in January 2019, the full move to the new premises will be completed before the end of 2019.
The location was chosen in close consultation with the parent company Poppe + Potthoff from Werther, Westphalia. The investment totaling over 8 million euros is a commitment by the family-run group of companies to the location and its employees. The mechanical engineering sector is booming, so the direction of travel for R+W is clear - further growth. In addition to investing in new office and production space and production equipment, this also means expanding the German and international team and investing in product development.
The company's existing headquarters in Klingenberg am Main had become too small, despite having already rented additional production and office space. "The new building gives us the opportunity to optimally align processes and structures to our requirements. The targeted consolidation of the locations and simultaneous expansion of the existing production facilities will enable us to further optimize the flow of materials. This will significantly increase our efficiency and output," says Holger Vogt, Head of Operations. "At the same time, we will offer more attractive workplaces and facilities for R+W employees - thanks to the proximity to the existing site, this will be possible without longer journeys."
The move will enable the company to achieve its strategic goals and meet growing demand.
