Despite the corona pandemic
Preparations underway for hazardous goods trade fair in Leipzig
Preparations for the GGS trade fair are underway despite the current challenging times: From November 24 to 26, 2020, exhibitors will be presenting innovations for the transportation of hazardous goods, storage and intralogistics processes involving hazardous substances.
"GGS has developed very well so far," explains Markus Geisenberger, Managing Director of Leipziger Messe. "We are in complicated times at the moment. Nevertheless, we are optimistic about the third edition of GGS. This November, we want to consolidate the positioning of our trade fair as an important industry platform."
Preparations for the 2020 Dangerous Goods // Hazardous Substances trade fair are in full swing. "Although the current situation is challenging for our exhibitors, we already have a good number of registrations at this stage," says Project Director Matthias Kober. "From today's perspective, this year's GGS will feature an interesting range of exhibitors in all product areas. Both market leaders and innovative SMEs and service providers will be represented."
The market leaders that have already registered include buhl-paperform, Dachser, Dräger Safety, Prodinger, Remondis Industrie Service and Rhenus & Hellmann. In addition to numerous returning exhibitors, new exhibitors have also been won over by the GGS concept. For example, Bluhm Systeme, Cordstrap and Schoeller Allibert Swiss Sàrl will be presenting their innovations in Leipzig for the first time.
Early-bookingdiscount extended
In light of the economic challenges that many companies are currently facing, the early-booking discount for exhibitors has been extended by one month - it can now be claimed until June 15, 2020. This gives companies the opportunity to decide to participate in the trade fair at a later date and still benefit from the early booking discount.
This year's GGS will once again offer a specialist program, including short presentations and practical demonstrations in the open forum, and certified training courses will be held in the tried and tested form. For example, the German Dangerous Goods Association (GGVD), the conceptual sponsor of the trade fair, will contribute daily changing lecture blocks on current topics in dangerous goods logistics. In addition, the Denios Hazardous Goods Day 2020 will be held for the first time at the GGS on November 24. as
