Pepperl+Fuchs invests in industrial communication
Automation technology specialist Pepperl+Fuchs took over the business activities of Comtrol Corporation on February 1, 2019.
The US pioneer in Ethernet-based industrial communication and IO-Link master gateways is firmly established on the market with the RocketPort product family, among others.
Comtrol's technologies will ideally complement the company's innovative sensor and communication solutions. By expanding its portfolio of Ethernet network modules and fieldbus modules, the company is taking the next step towards Industry 4.0: even more solutions are now available that close the gap between the sensor/actuator and control level all the way to the cloud.
"With an expanded IO-Link portfolio, we can support our customers even better in making the communication of their industrial networks more efficient and flexible, thereby driving the development of their digital business processes," says Reiner Müller, Head of Factory Automation at Pepperl+Fuchs.
