The company, which was founded in 1991, is thus continuing its growth course in the two business areas of special machine construction and series production of components and assemblies. "We are growing with the challenges of our customers, who are developing new products in the field of e-mobility and fuel cells, for example," explains Dr. Jörg Lässig, Managing Director of Sitec. "Expertise in the laser processing of copper is absolutely essential. And we have that."

As a general contractor and system supplier, the company plans and implements production systems worldwide for various sectors such as the automotive industry, electrical engineering/electronics, medical technology and alternative energy technology. The system and process portfolio ranges from flexible standard machines to fully automated large-scale production systems, particularly for laser welding, laser cutting, laser hardening and laser structuring processes.

In the series production business area, Sitec develops and supplies assemblies and components to the automotive industry in the areas of engines, powertrains, vehicle safety, vehicle comfort and e-mobility. For example, more than 110 million components for diesel injectors have been manufactured at Sitec since 2005.

The foundation stone for the new production building on the extended company premises on Bornaer Straße was laid in mid-2017. With an investment volume of around six million euros, 3,500 square meters of production space including a new central reception and modern conference area were created within a year. A further six million euros were invested in the procurement of machinery and equipment for production.

The expansion will create 20 new jobs. Sitec generated a turnover of 43 million euros in 2017 and currently employs 245 people. as
