"It is a great honor and responsibility for me to take over the leadership of Fanuc Europe and I look forward to working closely with our customers and partners together with the entire team. Together we will strengthen their competitiveness and shape the future of the automation industry," said Ghirardello on his appointment.

Many years of management experience

Ghirardello, who has been with Fanuc since 1994, brings many years of experience from various areas of responsibility to his new role. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President of Fanuc Europe, heading up the Factory Automation division, which includes the important CNC control business. Prior to that, he worked as Managing Director of the Turkish subsidiary before taking over the management of Fanuc Italy, where he played a key role in the company's expansion in this important European market.

"With our high-quality products, global service network and strong organizational capabilities, we will continue to drive technological excellence in the automation industry across Europe," said Ghirardello.

On course for growth

Fanuc Europe achieved record sales of just over one billion euros in the last financial year, which ended in March 2023, and the number of employees rose to over 2,000. Ghirardello thanked his predecessor for his achievements: "I will continue Fanuc Europe's strong growth trajectory with a focus on innovation and sustainability."
