New corporate strategy of the ERP manufacturer
abas Software has a new Supervisory Board
The Karlsruhe-based ERP manufacturer abas has had a new Supervisory Board since June 12, 2018. Entrepreneur Christoph Löslein (51), CEO of Board Advisors Germany and co-founder and long-standing board member of Kofax plc, was elected as the new Chairman of the Supervisory Board of abas Software.
Löslein has already played a leading advisory role in the acquisition of a US sales partner by abas. In addition to Löslein, the Supervisory Board will be made up of Gerrit Pohl (44), Juergen Rottler (51) and abas co-founder Werner Strub (64). Gerrit Pohl is currently Chief Digital Officer at ADAC in Munich and one of the country's most prominent digitalization and cloud specialists. He was previously responsible for the "GTM Cloud Innovation" division at Microsoft. Juergen Rottler (51) headed the global services and cloud business at Oracle for many years, where he reported directly to Oracle founder Larry Ellison as a board member. Under Rottler's responsibility, these business areas achieved a sales volume of over USD 19 billion. The German-American was also instrumental in the integration and acquisition of more than 60 companies by Oracle.
abas co-founder and long-time CEO Werner Strub (64) was also elected to the board, which also includes two employees. Under Werner Strub's leadership, abas Software has succeeded in becoming one of the top ERP providers for the manufacturing industry. abas is today one of the few independent German providers with a significant presence in the USA, Spain, France, Eastern Europe, China and India.
The Annual General Meeting also re-elected abas employees and long-standing Supervisory Board members Stefan Dannemann and Oliver Klemm to the Board, giving continuity to the Supervisory Board as a whole. Stefan Dannemann was again appointed Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
The appointment of prominent and experienced managers to the Supervisory Board goes hand in hand with the new corporate strategy of the international management team led by CEO Baris Ergun. In addition to the functional expansion of its own ERP portfolio, this includes the implementation of collaborative business models for a global developer community, as well as new technology offerings for digitalized manufacturing. abas already provides its ERP applications in flexible cloud variants, including hybrid and full cloud versions.
