New, sustainable regional headquarters
Delta announces expansion in EMEA
Delta has expansion plans in the EMEA region: the construction of a new, sustainable regional headquarters in Hoofddorp, Netherlands, is planned.
The state-of-the-art facility with around 9,300 square meters on the renowned Business Campus Park 20|20 is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026 and will provide space for over 350 employees from R&D, business development, management and other departments. By implementing Delta's intelligent energy-saving solutions, the building is expected to achieve a net-zero energy balance and receive the prestigious BREEAM Outstanding certification for sustainable construction.
This significant expansion has received strong support at both regional and national level. Marianne Schuurmans, Mayor of Haarlemmermeer, commented on the move as follows: "We are delighted to welcome Delta Electronics, a global leader in sustainable technologies, to Haarlemmermeer. With our excellent international connections and our dynamic economy, this region is the ideal location for such forward-thinking companies. Delta's commitment to energy efficiency and smart infrastructure not only strengthens our local economy, but is also in line with our vision of a sustainable future. Congratulations on the construction of your new EMEA headquarters in Hoofddorp. We wish Delta Electronics every success in its future endeavors."
On a national level, Hilde van der Meer, Commissioner of the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency (NFIA), echoed this sentiment: "We very much welcome the expansion of Delta Electronics' activities in the Netherlands and are grateful for the longstanding and strong relationship that we as NFIA have with the company. Delta's innovative technologies are a valuable addition to the developments taking place in the Netherlands. We look forward to further connecting Delta with key players in our innovation ecosystems so that they can make a significant contribution to R&D development in our country."
Dalip Sharma, President and General Manager of Delta Electronics EMEA, added: "Delta's new regional headquarters underlines our strong commitment to the EMEA region and to Hoofddorp, a strategic location due to its proximity to key customers, partners and Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, the unique gateway to the European market. In addition, the choice of Park 20|20, known for its focus on sustainability and circular economy principles, fits perfectly with Delta's ESG values. The Haarlemmermeer region offers access to a highly skilled, multilingual workforce and a dynamic international business environment - all key factors for Delta's long-term growth and diverse business activities."
The new building will provide around 9,300 square meters of additional space over five floors, creating around 350 modern workplaces for Delta's growing EMEA team. This state-of-the-art office building is being built in partnership with G&S& and features an exceptional design by renowned MVSA Architects and has been designed to encourage innovation and collaboration. It will feature a central five-storey atrium that brings natural light deep into the building, a showroom to showcase Delta's latest technologies, laboratory space, modern meeting rooms and areas for creativity and relaxation. Employee wellbeing is further enhanced by an advanced climate control deck system that provides draught-free radiant heating and cooling. The building will have 126 underground parking spaces and Delta electric vehicle (EV) charging stations to promotelow-carbonmobility for employees.
Sustainability is at the heart of the new building's design. Aiming for net zero energy consumption, the roof will be completely covered with around 715 solar panels, which are expected to generate over 335,500 kWh of renewable electricity annually - covering the building's estimated annual consumption. Combined with an energy-efficient architectural design, climate-controlled ceiling, connection to Park 20|20's central geothermal pumping system and a separate Delta Energy Storage System (ESS), Delta is underlining its commitment to the highest environmental standards and is aiming for BREEAM Outstanding certification for sustainable construction.
This new building will further cement Delta's EMEA headquarters as a central hub for its operations across the region, driving innovation, supporting customers and strengthening the company's position as a leading provider of energy-efficient solutions and sustainable development.
